A continuum of service means we are equipped to provide services and care to residents as time goes on and needs change. For example, if someone is living independently but finds they need more assistance with meals and medication, they can move to assisted living. If someone in an assisted living home develops dementia, we can transition them to memory care in a safe environment without the resident having to move out of our community.

Do you take pets?
Yes. We can accommodate up to two pets in Touchmark IL or AL homes. Pets must be 30 pounds or smaller, housebroken, and well-behaved.
How much does it cost for an apartment/home?
Because of the many factors impacting costs, such as home type, total square footage, care needs, etc., it's not possible to supply a general quote. Please contact the community directly to discuss pricing.
How are your staff trained?
Touchmark has been serving families since 1980, and we have developed robust programming and training certifications based on all that we’ve learned. Our training programs exceed industry practices and regulatory requirements. Touchmark University provides ongoing, companywide opportunities to share best practices and promote consistent, quality service in each community. Care partners in our communities are professional and {FULL} Life Care-certified.
How involved in the local community is Touchmark?
Touchmark created the Touchmark Foundation to further advance its mission to enhance the well-being of seniors. The foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charity, which offers scholarships to nursing students and provides grants to improve the physical, social, spiritual, and intellectual lives of seniors. In addition, each Touchmark community builds relationships with and supports the work of various local nonprofit organizations, such as the Alzheimer’s Association, Loaves & Fishes, and many others.
How big are your homes?
We offer a wide array of floor plans that meet the varying needs of residents. Homes range from spacious studios to three bedrooms. For exact square footage, please contact us.
My parents need more support; what can I do?
Communicating with one’s parent(s) that it is not safe to continue living in their current home is one of the most challenging things an adult child faces. It does not matter whether the parent is living in the family home or a retirement community. When parents need more care, it often falls to the children to help make the best decision. What happens if my parents need different levels of care?
Many couples come to Touchmark in need of varying levels of care from one another. We prioritize the concept of aging in place, maintaining the highest level of independence possible, and helping partners continue cohabitating in retirement. Many of our homes can support both independent living and additional care. If one spouse requires a secure environment and the other doesn’t, everyone is still under the same roof within the community.

Is the Health & Fitness Club open to the public?
Yes. Club membership is available to anyone ages 50 and older. To inquire about membership options and details, contact Member Services.
Are meals included in my monthly payments?
In independent living, residents can access multiple dining venues and dine how and when they desire. Our Choice Dining Program offers made-to-order menu options, flexible dining credits, and open hours that accommodate different lifestyles. In assisted living and memory care, three meals daily plus snacks are provided as part of your monthly payment.
Is Touchmark a life care community?
No, Touchmark is not a life-care community. Touchmark does offer a continuum of care services to meet the residents needs from independent through memory care, as well as skilled nursing in two of our communities.
Does Touchmark offer skilled nursing and long-term care?
Long-term care is available at our community in Edmonton, Alberta. Skilled nursing and rehabilitation is available at our community in Spokane, Washington. Communities not currently offering these services have cultivated trusted partnerships with local agencies to which we can refer residents and their families.
Does Touchmark offer Home Care?
We provide home care services in our communities in Vancouver, Washington; Spokane, Washington; Meridian, Idaho; Bend, Oregon; and Portland, Oregon.
